Soldiers of the Nigerian Army have rescued six hostages from terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
The troops also arrested four members of the sect in Gombori, Borno state.

“The troops located and recovered 2 heavy IEDs buried in the ground by suspected remnants of Boko Haram terrorists. In the process of recovering the deadly IEDs, the troops intercepted 4 fleeing suspected Boko Haram terrorists that alleged they were on their way to surrender to troops.
“On preliminary investigation, they were identified as confirmed Boko Haram terrorists members planting IEDs along troops routes by their arrested colleague, Lawan Abbai. Additionally, the troops rescued 5 women and a baby from Boko Haram terrorists at the same general area.”
Boko Haram has attracted global attention in recent times due to the naming of a new leader for the group by the Islamic State(ISIS).
Eccentric leader, Abubakar Shekau was removed and replaced with Abu Musab Al-Barnawi.
Al-Barnawi, who Shekau says isn’t qualified to lead the sect has threatened to launch fresh attacks on Christians and churches in Nigeria.
