The marriage registry official as reported were called in to perform the solemnization in the presence of the couple’s parents and some prominent Nigerians which include Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the host, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr. Femi Otedola, Professor Pat Utomi, Mr. Jim Ovia, Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi and many others. The couple immediately after their solemnization jetted out to Italy for the reception and their honeymoon but without their parents. In a brief interview with Encomium magazine, the groom gushes about his beautiful wife. Read the excerpt below.
- We’ve been friends for three and half years now.
What would you say you saw in her that made you think she is the one you want to live the rest of your life with?
- She is my best friend. She is intelligent. She is my back bone. She is everything that a man wants in a wife and I am glad to have her as my wife.
Nigerian celebrities who graced the reception were Mo’cheddah, BK, Fade Ogunro, Stephanie Coker, Godwin Strings and many more. Of course, Bola Tinubu, and other politicians, the Ooni of Ife, Oonirisa Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Special Adviser, Policy and Deputy Chief of Staff to Asiwaju, Ademola Oshodi and other notable guests were present as well.
