The Federal Government has released all members of theIndigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who were arrested in Aba, Abia state, during their prayer rally in February, 2016.
The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, ordered security agencies in the state to release the Biafra agitators, who were in detention camps and prison custody.
It was gathered that other IPOB members in Onitsha, Anambra State have been in jubilation mood following the release of their comrades.
The group in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, on Thursday, commended the Attorney-General of the Federation for the release of their members.
He said the release of their members is a good omen since the plight of IPOB is only for the restoration of Biafra and not to take over power from President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, the group's leader and Director of Biafra radio,Nnamdi Kanu, is still in prison custody.
